LOS ANGELES and CHARLOTTE, N.C., (February 05, 2020)The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Nation United Foundation (NUF) to provide impactful programming opportunities and support collaborative efforts related to diversity and inclusion awareness and personal development.

“The partnership with NUF underscores our commitment to building more inclusive, empathetic and healthy communities, increasing access to the sport, and fostering relationships that drive awareness on key issues,” said Kyle Harrison, PLL Director of Player Relations and Diversity and Inclusion.

As part of this partnership, members of the PLL will play a key role in the Nation United/Professional Players Mentoring Network (NUPro Network). The NUPro Network was established to create support networks among high school, college athletes and professional athletes while serving as an opportunity for PLL athletes to encourage, challenge and assist one another in achieving personal goals. Participating in this initiative as mentors will also provide the opportunity for the PLL and its athletes to serve as catalysts for greater diversity and inclusion at the highest level of the sport.

In addition, the strategic partnership creates an avenue for Nation United leadership and Ambassadors to participate in the following:

“We are thrilled for the opportunity to collaborate with the PLL and serve as a resource regarding matters concerning diversity, inclusion, equality and branding,” said Jeremy Ardrey, NUF Executive Director. “It’s a great opportunity to be deliberate and intentional about providing and participating in transformative experiences, developing a high-quality, long-lasting partnership and creating a new narrative which supports greater diversity at the elite levels of the sport. This is a great next step.”
